Glenn Roberts Electrical Proudly 100% Locally Owned and Operated.

Glenn Roberts Electrical is owned and operated  by Josh Roberts and Nichola Strom, who purchased the company in 2007 from Josh’s parents Glenn & Kris Roberts.  The company has been in operation since 1992 and has built up an excellent reputation in Nelson and throughout the country as specialist electricians to the commercial and residential market.

We are proud to be 100% locally owned and operated and consider this to be a key element of our success within the community.  We pride ourselves on completing all projects that we undertake to the highest possible standards, using the best available personnel and materials and within budget.

We are Site Safe Certified and MASTERelectricians, being members of the Electrical Contractors Association of New Zealand (ECANZ). Using a MASTERelectrician means that your electrical work is covered by the MASTERelectricians free workmanship guarantee.

We are proud winners of the 2011 Nelson Tasman Chamber of Commerce Business Awards for Medium Sized Business Category.  And the 2011 ECANZ Wellington Master Electrician of the Year Award.

Josh Roberts: Company Director

Josh is a fully qualified electrician with over 15 years experience gained both in New Zealand and the UK. Most of this time has been spent in the commercial and residential sectors. Josh is responsible for the day to day running of the business and the project management, seeing this as a key path to success of any project no matter how large or small. Josh has worked on many small and large electrical projects throughout his career both in hands on roles and in management roles in NZ and in the UK.

Glenn Roberts: Contracts Manager

Glenn is a fully qualified electrician with over 26 years management experience on a wide range of projects throughout the region. Glenn is responsible for the pricing and project management within the business, as well as organising the staff on a day to day basis to fit in with the workload schedule.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Electricians:
We currently have a team of seven fully qualified NZ registered electricians with an extensive range of knowledge in the electrical industry of New Zealand and also abroad, including the UK and Europe. All are Site Safe registered and each has successfully run and managed a wide range of projects.

Apprentices:
Glenn Roberts Electrical is passionate about safeguarding the future of the NZ Electrical Industry. Our goal is to always have at least one apprentice employed, who will be working towards their registration via the ETCO training requirements. At present we have two apprentices on our team.  One of whom won the 2011 ECANZ Electrical Apprentice of the Year Competition for the Wellington region in the Commercial/Domestic  Preliminary Competition.

Office Management & Administration:
We currently have 3 administration personnel in the team ensuring the smooth and efficient running of the office and accounts. We use Smart Trade Job Management software together with MYOB enabling us to provide up to the minute job costing reports. Navman Tracking is also installed in all company vehicles.
